It had been six months total since Jin decided to leave the House of Zhongli. Truth be told apart of him didn't think he would last this long, but somehow he had using his instincts and what he was taught. He'd like to believe he made some pretty smart decisions along the way that kept him alive this long. Only because he knew the rogue life was a dangerous game, but it was a enjoyable one.
The white haired rogue just finished another job, completing a contract he had signed a few days ago. Some local gang members were in debt to a crime boss for quite sometime, and when they failed to pay their dues Jin was hired to pay them a visit. It did not end well for them. But for Jin it was another job complete. He went back to an inn he was currently staying in Nairn, he would stay just another night before heading back to his home where Aeila was. It wasn't rare for either one of them to gone for a night or two considering what they did for a living. But there was enough trust there between them to make it back.
As he laid his head down to fall asleep his dreams quickly encased his mind, with images of his sister Varia and his other brother and sisters calling out his name in desperation. Fire and blood all around them, some of his siblings slain left lifeless on the floor. His sister Varia looked at him locking eyes with sorrow and regret written all over her face. Jin was running towards her, but it was to late as a sword pierced her chest killing her and a large circular void quickly consumed everything around them. "Penance!"
Causing Jin to jolt up from his nightmare in a heavy sweat, no sound left his lips but his face was full of panic. He knew it was a dream and that it wasn't real but it didn't feel like so. He used to have nightmares like this when he was young, but his mother Jukane helped him to deal with it. He hadn't had a nightmare like this in a long time, but it felt more like a calling to him. In the dream he was able to disclose the area he was in, it was Kikka. He didn't know why but there was feeling he must go to Kikka and soon. Maybe his sister was there, maybe she needed to be saved.
So now was the time to leave. Aeila could wait another day for his return. He got dressed quickly in his usual attire, all black not revealing to much at all. His two daggers strapped to his lower back along with his grimoire. Underneath the bed of the Inn he reached and grabbed his light spear was covered in a grey wrapping and casing. Using such a long and noticeable weapon wasn't his usual method, but it was a powerful weapon so he had to make do. Using his dagger's カラス Karasu's ability he summoned his golem and set out to the next town of Kikka.

Jin reported back to the summoner all that heard from the serpent humanoids he dealt with, there was no reason to withhold information either. His objective was the same as hers free the slaves and put an end to this threat. In the back of his mind he did enjoy the lack of pressure these kind of jobs had, not that they weren't completely life threatening all on their own. But doing the less tasteful jobs that a rogue does had allot more risk involved but for him that's where the fun came in. Tasks like this were different but welcome change of pace.
From the looks of it she was still in the middle of talking to her share of enemies, and she took out quite a few with minimal effort it looked like. A few different golems made of different elements were around them, all under her complete control. Jin had some knowledge on golem magic, his dagger being a host for a singular golem spell of his own. But what she had was on another tier itself. Jin handed her his spear when she asked for it and she used it for a branding tactic, Jin looked slightly shocked as it was rare for a magic knight to use such a method. Though he had seen worse. If she wasn't here he would just killed them all after getting the information he needed. But in the end Verena granted them her kindness hopefully they make the most of it.
She stated simply it was time for them to go and move on, no the only question was travel. But not before he corrected some past mistakes. "Most definitely! But I realize I did not introduce myself in the best way!...Earlier! Uumm. So please allow me to do so now. My name is Junken, Jun for short. I get a little nervous before missions like this and sometimes I can be a little to focused. I hope we can work well together!" Jin said in a earnest and sincere voice, giving a slight bow.
Now that was out the way, he started to scratch the back of his head and chuckle a little bit. "Haha. Can I ask one of your golems for a ride? Haha."

After dealing with the "Slave Transitioning Station", or forward slave camp, you come to find out that there is another larger slave camp to the north. This place however has been walled off using remnants of ships, has a lot more slavers present and appears to be where the "Sea Witch" has taken up residence. Destroy the camp and the slavers, free the slaves and put an end to the Sea Witch! Note: The Sea Witch fights alongside her slavers, be sure to represent this in the thread.

The white haired rogue took care of his share of beasts quickly and efficiently, expecting the same outcome from the other two considering what they were capable of in the last room. But when he looked over they were nowhere to be found! It was such a strange outcome to him because he was sure they both were right behind him. But now it looks like they were gone and replaced with another person, who held a sword. A tall young man probably around Jin's age took care of one of the ancient looking beasts with his sword. Claiming he was only able to deal with one at a time, Jin had half a mind to let the beasts take care of him considering all the strangeness going on. But was he willing on betting on another potential ally just to get out of this place?
"Fuck it."
Using a mana tether he commanded his golem Zeno to fly low so he can grab hold of his dagger, in a swift motion the golem flew and turned to it's side letting Jin grab the blade in his right hand. Once he had his weapon again he flipped off his golem letting it continue forward using it's wings to slice through another mana beast killing it leaving just three left. One of them was running towards Jin head on, he waited for the perfect time to strike and right at the last second he stabbed his blade forward landing his dagger right in it's skull killing it. Leaving just the two that he already had planned for, in his left hand was his light spear which he used to activate another spell. "Infinite Light Rain." summoning two light swords in the air he mentally controlled them to pierce the last two beasts, they hit the mark but the damage was not enough.
In a swift motion he placed his dagger back in it's holster on his lower back, and twirled his spear. Using it's longer reach and his mastery over the weapon he slashed forward and was able to kill one of them. But it left him open for an attack by the last beast swiping it's claws at his back, he was struck and sent tumbling a few feet. It hurt quite a bit, but his mana skin had protected him from any significant damage. Now he was just annoyed the beast ran at him once more, but Jin simply threw his spear with perfect accuracy piercing it's neck and killing it finally. The white haired rogue grunted he wasn't a fan of taking damage when he didn't have to.
He looked towards the new comer his eyes were piercing. Jin was not of the morality to save a life without receiving something in return, but right now his only concern was now getting out of this place as soon as possible. Perhaps this stranger could return the favor in that way, hopefully he had the same objective. "Hey you. I'm trying to make out this place alive. I assume you want the same thing, if we work together I think we can do that." Jin said to him simply grabbing his light spear and commanding his raven golem to land near him. "What do you say?"
As soon as Jin finished asking that question though, the entire place started to shake and vibrate. Not only that but two loud roars that probably came from humongous beasts could be heard and it seemed like everything came to a stand still. Jin himself looked surprised and looked outward towards the noise. "Looks like we don't have a choice, now do we." he said no longer waiting and walking ahead. "I suggest we go through there." he pointed at a narrow path.

Floor 2 | Room #3 SMALL NARROW PATH
If Jin could avoid running into anything more dangerous he would, and he bet on going through the small narrow path that was nearby. The likelihood of running into more giant monsters was unlikely in such a small pathway. There was another way but it lead to a large open space of water, and just using his imagination he could guess was lurking beneath it. He had no way of confirming this, but he didn't want to take that chance. Jin was walking through first with his golem right behind him, and considering this fellow was following he would be right behind it. A move Jin did on purpose, he didn't know or trust this guy he could potentially attack him from behind so thats why the golem was between them.
The rogue had his arms ups covering his face from being scratched by all the tough branches, and plants. But he underestimate how sharp these plants were and one of them ended up scratching him quite hard and digging into his mana skin. Jin cursed out loud not because of the pain but because he was annoyed, every time he turned around there was some kind of threat that he couldn't really see. But on the bright side these things kept him on his toes, there was a slight challenge in this place that he was oddly taking a liking too. Jin wasn't afraid or bothered by challenges to much, he saw them as ways to improve his skills. What annoyed him was the sneaky tricks that he couldn't see, cause that only meant he had to be more focused. A small reminder of all the training him and his brothers and sisters went through in his youth, how tough and brutal it was. But how he learned to enjoy it when he actually saw improvement.
After finally making through the all the plants and thorns there was a small open space to just rest, the plants started to spread out allot more. So why not take advantage of this opportunity. Jin took a second to look around making sure the area was actually safe, his sensory was fully focused as well just in case. Then finally turned to face the new comer. "So what's your name, and how did you end up here?" he asked him suddenly with a bright smile on his face. Now finally giving time to really scope this stranger out, he was tall just not as tall as Jin himself. But his facial features were almost the near opposite of Jin's. His hair was longer and a raven like black, his eyes were a gleaming red all the opposite of the rogue himself who hard stark white hair and piercing blue eyes. Now was the time to hear what this guy was all about.
Jin's Infinite Light Rain spell was still active started to take effect and healed the injuries to his mana skin. A soft light gold glow could be seen shimmering around him.

The user summons a sword made of pure light, and anyone within 10 meters of this sword will have their wounds healed. This sword can also be manipulated by the user for offensive purposes, or to attack enemies in general. More swords can be created based on the user's control. These swords being tethered to the user means that they can be used to shield against attacks, heal the user and/or allies, as well as be sent in waves for offensive attacks. Name of Spell: Zeno Element: Void Rank: Intermediate Size: 2.1 Meters Mana Cost: Cost: 22 | Recharge Cost: 24 Type of Golem: Predator Applicable Perks: N/A Description:
Zeno is a large bird like golem, closely resembling a crow and raven Jin's favorite birds. Zeno stands at 7 feet tall from it's head to it's tail feather. The size of each of it's wings is about 7 feet as well, giving it a 4.2 meter wingspan. Because of it's wide wingspan flying for this golem is extremely easy, and following the transportation rules Zeno can carry two people at a time. While used for transportation it’s speed is 10 m/s. Zeno has some intricate designs on it's feathers and body that stem from Jin's void energy taking a light blue hue. This hue can darken though if need be. Zeno is a golem made entirely of Jin's void energy, making it a fierce attacking golem. Each part of it's body can be used as a method of attack from it's deadly sharp beak, to it's razor sharp wings and it's powerful claws. Also because of it's void like properties whatever items or mundane structures not backed by magic Zeno attacks gets destroyed completely and potentially erased from existence. If Karasu is wielded by a void user then it suffers the strengths and weaknesses of the void element. Following the ammo rules he can summon an additional one with every 30 stat points into control. The maximum number of Zeno’s Jin can summon is four only with the proper control.
As soon as Jin took to his offense using his spears spells the summoner was already on her way to the site. The word about Verena Reinsberg was that her summons were second to none and she was a newly appointed mage from the Golden Dawn, not only that but she also was a member of the elite squad the Royal Knights. So to Jin this meant she was very capable and very strong on her own. From the little interaction they just had, he could tell she was smart and a strategist. She was someone who thought before they acted, and even when engaging did so with a solid number of plans in mind. This all meant to him that he had to be careful.
Like her plan he was successful in drawing just a few of these creatures to him, he dispatched them and left them alive also as apart of her plan. If he was alone he would have probably killed all of them and left two alive to interrogate, but magic knights had a different mindset. At least some magic knights did, he had met others in the past that seemed to enjoy taking the lives of others creatures. For Jin he didn't enjoy it nor dislike it, it was simply a matter of choice to him. Taking the lives of other people, and creatures meant little to him. If the mission was to leave none alive he would simply follow that order, but this wasn't one of those missions.
He did have other objectives he had to accomplish though, now was time for the interrogation. "I need one of you to tell me where the civilians are, if it is a camp the direction it's in and what to expect when I get there?" The was more information needed on the whereabouts of the others civilians that were captured, and Jin planned on getting that information by any means. None of the serpents answered his question.
The white haired rogue stabbed his light spear into the ground to free up his hands. His vibrant blue eyes shifting between each of the three serpents that were hurt and lying on the ground, one of them managed to grab hold of it's spear and was dragging it's body to get closer to Jin in order to stab him. But it's condition and strength were much to poor to cause any immediate threat to him. Before it got to it's position, Jin was standing over it and pressed his left foot on it's hand holding the spear crushing it with a little force. "I guess we'll start with you." applying more force to his foot he started the hear the bones in the serpents hand snap causing the creature immense pain.
"You will not kill uussss, your with the knightsss." One of the other serpents said in a sharp tongue. Causing Jin to release his foot and look over to it with his face slightly surprised. "Heh. Is that what you think?" one light chuckle left his lips. The idea of him actually being a magic knight made him chuckle a few times whenever it came up in times like this. In a normal situation at this point Jin would have just killed it with a void spell at the snap of his fingers, but with the Elemental Heiress around he couldn't take that chance and risk her finding out. But there was no need for death this time around when there was words and other ways of influence.
Reaching behind him under his black jacket was two daggers strapped to his lower back, he grabbed the one that was a more curved and decorative. The gift he received from Aeila, a quick thought on having to gift her a weapon as well entered his mind. He spun the dagger masterfully in between his fingers, looking at the serpent that spoke. But his face was noticeably much colder and serious then before, it was not the face of any respectable magic knight.
"Do you believe no magic knights are capable of killing?" he asked but received no answer just stares. "If that is the case I would suggest you start to think differently, magic knights are the number one murderers in the entire world." Jin started to walk closer to the serpent spinning his dagger still. "Did you know that the average magic knight has probably killed hundreds of living creatures just like yourself. And that's the lower ranked ones, the ones in the higher ranks are most definitely in the thousands after some time." Jin continued now standing over the serpent.
His light swords made by his spear were still active and now hovering over the other two serpents, just in case they made any sudden moves. "Let me tell you something very important. A magic knight does not value your life over the lives of any human beings, especially innocent ones. They would tear you limb from limb in order to get what they want. Do you honestly believe I won't do the same?" The serpent gulped it's eyes now filled with fear as Jin had his dagger to it's throat and the light blades over the heads of the other serpents. Jin bent down a little lower to whisper. "By the way I'm no magic knight." the serpent felt a quick but strong push from the dagger at it's throat.
"Up North! There iisss another camp up north, where the otherrrsss are. You will find them there, and our queen."
With that Jin quickly jolted up and removed the dagger from it's throat, just a thin drop of blood ran down it's neck. The rogue having a big smile on his face, he always did enjoy when one of his interrogations went well and this one was much less bloodier than from the past. "See friends that wasn't so hard!" Jin twirled his dagger once more before placing it back in it's holster on his lower back. Right after that a weird looking magical golem greeted him with gestures to follow it, using his common sense it was probably Verena's golem to bring him over. "Oh what perfect timing. You must be from Verena." The rogue walking over to grab his spear from the ground.
"Our queen will kill all of you! You will not survive her or what sssshe hassss planned for you humanssss!" The serpent shouted at Jin as he followed the golem to Verena's location. The rogue simply gave the serpent a wave as he walked away thinking again if this were normal circumstances all three of them would have been dead by now. But the mission was always more important, and right now he needed no reason for the Elemental Heiress to question him. Her trust was much more important than the lives of some sea creatures.
After a while Jin had arrived at the summoner's location, seeing the work she had done the rumors about her were true. She had a multitude of golems at her back and call and Jin figured this was nowhere near all of them or her most powerful ones. Once he saw her he went into a light jog with a big smile on his face. "I got the location! If you haven't gotten it already, you probably did but. The serpents from earlier said another camp was up north where they are holding the other hostages. They also mentioned a queen. A leader perhaps that's in charge of the whole thing. I believe we should go and quickly!" Jin said to her with a look of slight panic on his face.
"Understood." Jin replied to her comments about having a slight alteration with Hinokami's absence. Right now wasn't the best time to dive into details on why the Crimson Lion knight had to leave, it just simply was this way now and they had to adapt to it. Adapting to plans and scenarios on the fly was normal for Jin, in his world things rarely ever went as planned.
"Oh. A sword for a dear friend, using light too. Must be a close friend." Jin said after hearing her comments, now of course in his mind he would have to find or think of a place where she could find a maker. For the ones that he stole the spear from would likely be upset it was now missing. At least he was still alive. But then at this moment Jin had realized something, his introduction was lacking the most important thing. A name. Jin's face didn't change at all to represent what was going on his mind, he simply would have to find a way to drop his name in at a later time.
He listened carefully to her plan, and he had to admit it was a good one. It would allow to separate some of the enemies from the hostages, which was the most important thing. And it would allow them to gather any further information they would need. "If a few head over, don't worry about incapacitating them I can handle that." Jin had no issues with this plan and nodded along with it, he started to unwrap the spear from it's covering. "Ready when you are." he said to her getting into position.
When given the proper signal Jin would activate the ability of his spear, "Heaven Piercer." causing it to be encased in a massive amount of light, turning it into a titanic lance purely formed of light magic that is 10 meters in length that was now held up into the air. Hopefully this was what they needed to get some of that attention. After some time though Jin noticed not just one or two but three things approaching his location by water and coming in fast. "Mmhhmmm just keep following the light." Seemed like the summoner's plan was working, Jin waited for the right time before going on the offensive by now they already had seen that he was a potential threat. So as soon as they were close enough they immediately just fall into attack, he just had to do so before they did.
The first Serpent Slaver jumped from the waters to pounce towards Jin with it's own spear made of metal and wood. But Jin's weapon with it's 'Heaven Piercer' ability had it beat in overall length. So he simply swung the large weapon down landing a deep slash on it's serpentine lower body, taking it out careful enough not to kill it though. Now getting a good look at these serpents, Jin was taken aback by their appearance for a second. He's seen quite a few mana beasts, but none like this. Now the other two made their way to the surface, and without wasting a beat. Jin activated another spell from his spear. "Infinite Light Rain." summoning just two blade of light and commanding them to also pierce the lower bodies of the two serpents taking them down as well with little effort. Leaving them alive and incapable of running or swimming away.
"Well that was...boring." Jin said to himself. Then looked towards the summoner if she was still around. "I guess the rest is up to you then."
The spear is encased in a massive amount of light, turning it into a titanic lance purely formed of light magic that is 10 meters in length, sending a shining light across the user and healing their wounds. The lance can be used to deal massive damage to enemies or heal allies as well.

Humble beginnings. It could be said the history of the Zhongli started when Genkei and Yua Zhongli had their child Jukane Zhongli. The Zhong weren't considered a noble house by any means, their reputation was small and they didn't command any large legions of soldiers or guards. They were simple pot makers, Genkei following the footsteps of his forefather's before him. A humble and comfortable life of a pot maker, Genkei worked close with his brother Gouki in selling these pots across towns to make some good money. What Genkei didn't know was, Gouki used these pots to sell in many many towns including ones within the rogues refuge. Where he started to use these pots in order to distribute illegal wares, items, weapons and poisons for a local gang. All right under the eye of Genkei whom had no idea, believed his brother was just doing really well selling the pots.
[break][break]
Gouki wasn't initially trying to hurt or betray his brother, he simply wanted to acquire more riches not just for himself but for his brother, sister-in-law and niece Jukane as well. One could say his heart was in the right place, but his actions could only lead to one thing. It wasn't until Genkei was shopping through the markets one day with a young Jukane, and he noticed his pots were being destroyed by local law enforcement. For reasons he didn't know why, he sought why they were destroying his pots? Believing everyone loved his pots simply for his handiwork, but there was horror on his face when he saw vials of poison and illegal weapons being stored in the pots that were destroyed. The guards immediately arrested Genkei for his hand in the distribution of illegal weapons and poison. Despite claiming he was innocent, and the cries of his young daughter Jukane. He brought to prison for his alleged crimes. Now that the distribution of were ceased, the gang Gouki was working for sought to be repaid for items lost. While Genkei was in prison the gang captured Gouki, Yua and Jukane and brought them all back to the Rgoues Refuge. Demanding payment from Gouki they threatened him and Yua, leaving the young Jukane nothing to do but watch. For days they beat him bloody, the beatings getting worse and worse by the day. They soon started to put their hands on Yua, but Jukane stood between them with a bloody shard of glass she found. Wanting to protect her mother by any means, the young girl just wanted to go back to the simple humble life they had.
[break][break]
The gang laughed at the little girl trying to protect her mother, Gouki was amazed by her courage though. All laughing ceased when a large man in the gold and red armor raised his hand. He approached Jukane slowly, his size and his face was threatening all on it's own. Yua pleaded for him to not hurt the poor child for she doesn't know what she's doing. The large man looked at the young Jukane with a peculiar look on his face, staring at her eye to eye. "Oh but I think she does know. What is your name young one?" he asked her now bending on one knee. "J-J-J-Jukane." the fear in her stutters were evident and tears were falling down her cheeks. She was still holding that bloody shard and her hands were shaking like crazy. "Jukane. That's a nice name. I have to ask you a very important question Jukane. Do you know why you are here? Why all this is happening?" he asked her gesturing to the bloody and beaten Gouki and her terrified mother with bruise marks on her face. Gouki tried to shout. "She's just a little girl Shen! She doesn't know anything about what's going on!" Shen looked at him coldly and that was more than enough to shut him up. "Well Jukane?"
[break][break]
She hesitated for a moment still visibly shaking. "B-b-b-because Uncle Gouki p-p-p-p-put us in d-d-danger." she managed to get out. Shen nodded. "Yes your uncle did put you and your parents in allot of danger, unfortunately. Because of the things he did horrible things have to be done." Shen said with a honest and yet remorseful voice. He looked at the bloody shard she was still holding and saw tiny little fingerprints of it decaying. He stood up and adjusted his armor. "Do you know what horrible things?" he asked her. The young Jukane hesitated before nodding tears still falling down her face. "May I take your uncle Jukane?" was his next question something that caught even the rest of his men off guard. Yua and Gouki looked speechless at him and then at Jukane. Gouki tried to get back on his feet, but was tackled to the wall by one of the men. Jukane couldn't answer just left staring at the ground now. Shen put his hands on her head, Yua instantly shouted to get his hands off her daughter to which he just ignored. "Sometimes Jukane, we have to sacrifice things that are very dear to us to save the ones we truly love." after a few moments of silence, Jukane nodded her head yes. Shen gave the signal and they dragged Gouki out of the room him shouting the names of Yua and Jukane over and over, pleading for his life. Right outside the room the sound of a large axe chop deafened the air, and the screams of Yua followed right after.
[break][break]
It was after that moment where Jukane's life had changed forever, but so did her mentality. She had given Shen the permission to kill her own uncle in order to save herself and more importantly her mother. Yua was left at lost grateful but also terrified of what Jukane might become. It was as if she could feel the warmth and the coldness of Jukane at the same time. Because of the sentencing of Genkei he was to be in prison for quite some time, leaving Yua and Jukane with Shen and his men. But life for them wasn't completely horrible. Shen had visited Jukane quite a few times as the months went by, taking her from the cell they were locked in to the outdoors. Gifting her expensive items and jewels from time to time, as a father would do his child. Yua had her suspicions about this, but in order to protect herself she could do nothing about it just pray that her child come back safely each time. And every time Jukane did, each time her demeanor becoming more and more happier as if she was forgetting the situation they were currently in.
[break][break]
But Jukane didn't forget at all, Shen was grooming her to be something dangerous and Jukane allowed it. Not for her own personal desires or greed, but for her mother and father for her love for them. Shen had told Jukane that if she obeyed him and did everything he asked, he would see her father freed from prison, her mother let go unharmed and money for all three of them to be very happy. She only needed to complete the jobs tasked to her, and serve him without question. She agreed without hesitation, leaving Yua nothing to do but to watch her daughter grow up into something wicked.
[break][break]
Years have passed with Jukane killing, stealing, blackmailing, distributing, spying and extorting for Shen. Now longer a little girl, but now a young woman. Seasoned in the ways and the workings of the underworld, lethal and extremely efficient. There wasn't many whom even thought about getting in her way. She honed her extremely rare Decay element to levels some thought could never be achieved. Her efforts were not all for naught, she was able to get her mother Yua out of the cell and she lived in a nice home. Her mother knew of her daughter's actions and said nothing, now she could barely look Jukane in the face. But what made Jukane different was the fact she wasn't a slave doing Shen's dirty work, or being forced to do anything. Everything she did was because she wanted to do so, it was all her choice.
[break][break]
Eventually Shen made good on his promise, and her father after years was released from prison do to connections Shen was able to gain with the some law enforcement. After years of not seeing each other, Genkei took one look at his daughter and could tell what she had become. But now that he was out both parents begged for her to let this life go, so they can move on and all be happy together. But Jukane made the choice to stay, she wanted to put her parents in a nice home in a nice village while she stayed in the Forsaken region, rising in power. But Genkei and Yua now wanted nothing to do with their daughter and the person she had become in order to save them and they decided to leave.
[break][break]
Her actions though initially made out of the purity of saving her father and mother had turned her into something else entirely. For years Jukane continued to work her through the world of crime rising in power and experience. Very few dared to cross her and even more wanted to follow her. As brutal and lethal as Jukane was, she was always fair in her dealings so allies naturally decided to come along. But even with allies and followers nothing could replace the loss of family now with both her parents leaving her. But she would be a much better parent, she would never leave or judge her children. It wasn't long before she fell in love and started a family on her own...
[break][break]
A mother less mother (Story to be told at a later date)...
[break][break]
Through loss and heartbreak Jukane found the solution for the loss of two families now, by saving another. Jukane had just finished getting revenge on the ones who wronged her, they had left twins behind. With her own lover and child ripped away from her she decided to take these twins as her own. She would have a family even if she had to take it herself and she would let no one stop her. The twins were named Kiro and Kira Zhongli and this act alone brought rise to how the House of the Zhongli was formed. Believing she could no longer trust anyone to have a child with, she would 'adopt' her children instead. What started with Kiro and Kira came more children all under her care and her house. Some happened by chance, other circumstances were orchestrated in her favor but nevertheless Jukane ended up with a few children that were trained to be just as efficient as she was. There was certain restrictions of course on whom she decided to adopt, they could never be over a certain age and the parents mostly had to be gone for good sometimes exceptions were made.
[break][break]
Jukane Zhongli had turned heartbreak and tragedy into strength and power as she saw it. Her first family left her and the other ripped away from her, she made her own with her children that she loved and adored. This was how the Zhongli were created.

Varia Zhongli is a tall and beautiful young women. She has long, waist-length dark brown hair. The top of her hair is tied up with an intricate gold hairpin with a pale blue tassel hanging from one end. Her fringe parts around her right eye, slightly covering her left. Her right eye is a deep ruby-colored hue melting into gold. Her left eye is covered by a red eyepatch. From her left ear dangles an earring resembling two hollow diamonds stacked upon each other, the color of which matches with her hairpin.
She wears a black leotard underneath a bright red sleeveless qipao dress, with side slits going up to her hips and the chest area cut out. Varia also wears an imposing fur-lined red shawl around her shoulders. The back of her qipao dress splits into two, with gold cloud patterns embroidered at the end, accentuated by black bordering. Additionally, she wears a pair of fingerless, elbow-length black gloves. Varia's boots reach up to her thighs and boast high heels strong enough to kick a claymore into the air with. Many golden anchor motifs can be found scattered around her outfit, such as on her boots, her gloves, and the front of her qipao dress.
Her style of dress is often flashy and unique, as she is a fan of the fancier things in life. She likes gold, she like money, and she likes fancy objects. Hence why her style is very flashy.

200 words min
Varia like her brother Jin comes from the House of Zhongli raised in Aries Garse. Like many of the 'trained' Zhongli members she was bred to be a efficient assassin from a very young age along with Jin and their siblings. Like the others she doesn't know who her actual parents are, and was told it doesn't matter. The only mother she ever needed was Jukane Zhongli. Whom could be brutal but fair, selfish but also giving. Jukane had each of her children remember lots of things, but one stood out the most especially to Varia "There is no reward in failure, just pain which leads to death."
Varia followed this principle heavily, not because she feared pain or even death. But because she simply liked the rewards. Even at a young ripe age Varia was sent on on assassination missions and completing them to perfection. And she always looked forward to the rewards that she received, be it money or jewelry, or other fancy items. She was good at what she did just for that reason. But in contrast to her greedy nature sometimes, Varia was a suitable elder sister for her siblings. She guided and trained the young ones, while also preparing them for the worst.
Jin and Varia especially in youth were often referred to as twins. Not in terms of looks or even personality, but because of the base of their magic. Many believe Jukane to have struck gold when she was able to get the two in her grasp. A spatial user and a void user under one house to follow her orders alone. It was a perfect combination of magic, so because of this. Varia and Jin worked together on many different tasks and missions. She was older so she always lead, until Jin proved his worth as a leader. With their many missions together came a ton of bickering, arguing and fighting but they never once failed to complete a task. The bond between the two is close, Varia being one of the few siblings he told that he was leaving Jukane.
But now Varia has been tasked with finding her brother, and bringing him back home.
If your defensive spell has taken damage but is still standing at the end of the post, it will naturally repair itself to full durability. This can only target a single spell a post. This can be used 3 times per cast of the spell.
By taking this perk, your magic is able to push past the normal limits of your body's speed. When using a physical reinforcement spell that buffs your speed, you can increase it by an additional 5 m/s. At Grand rank, you can increase said spells by 10 m/s. (Note: these bonuses do not stack.)
You possess the power for your healing spells to regenerate mana for your allies. Each healing spell will recover +5 mana [+5 per spell's rank above Junior] to your target's mana pool. This can not regenerate your own mana.
Those with this perk will naturally have their mana skin regenerate a single junior rank worth of damage a post. This will not cause the mana skin to exceed its natural total amount. Once they hit grand, this will increase to intermediate.
Your character may now create items that have different elements to that of your grimoire. Not only this, but you may select an element for the weapon from any tier apart from platinum. This means that if your spells are of the 'fire' element, an item you make could be diamond or poison! You may only have 1 choice of element per magic rank. For example, a total of one different element at junior to a total of two different elements at intermediate, so on and so forth.

When Aeila said there was no trust in his actions, he had to stop himself from rolling his eyes. It wasn't a big deal though, just a minor annoyance which given their situation it is to be expected. There was nothing he could say to convince her that him following wasn't a matter of trust but just simple curiosity. But if thats what she wanted to believe, he could do nothing right now to convince her other wise. So it was best to just let it go.
She shook her head at his words when he referred to her as the leader, which was not surprising. He probably have shouldn't have said it out loud, it most likely made her nervous. He also realized that this where their upbringing and training were different. Each child bearing the name Zhongli were expected to lead and organize groups for many different tasks. This was because just in case the leader in the moment had fallen or was unable to lead do to other circumstances there was always another that could take the previous leaders place. Before everything completing the mission efficiently was the most important thing. Considering her reaction she was probably not trained to do so. She underestimated herself heavily. Given the nature of her magic and how she uses her wraiths in such a efficient matter, taking the role of leader would be allot easier for her than she thinks. But no matter that was for another time.
"No? Don't wanna lead tonight? It's ok. But you should stop underestimating yourself. You are more capable than you realize." Jin said to her looking ahead. Like always Jin's purpose was to heal her mind and build confidence. Allot of her barriers came from the mental aspect, where as her previous...guardians sought to her bring her confidence down. This behavior was something he had seen often with his other siblings whom failed missions they were given to by mother.
"Mmmhhhmmm. A Wol-per-tin-ger. Wolpertinger. Sound it out slowly as practiced, and break it down." Jin said helping her learn the new word of the creature they had to catch. But now he began to think on where they would be able to locate the creature, he knows now that they hide in small spaces and pockets throughout the fringe. But that in itself could be lots of different places, now was the time to use basic logic and thinking in order to break down an actual location. "So if this creature has elongated canine's that resembles a sabertooth tiger, it is possible that it eats meat. If that is the case that can begin to narrow down our search to all the available meat vendors in town. But even that is still to broad." Jin began to say in a low tone to Aeila. "I believe we can lessen our search even further than that."
"We also know that it hides in small spaces and pockets, but still assuming it eats meat it's going to hide near the closest food source. So it won't just hide out near any meat vendor or shop. Critters are also creatures of habit, meaning if it has easy access to food and it's hiding spot it's most likely going to continue to rely on that pattern for it's survival. Basically i'm narrowing down the possible locations to one place in particular. Kiro's Meat Shop." Jin said looking at it's direction.
"Kiro's Meat Shop isn't popular at all. Mainly because of the dirty alleyway that's behind it where most of the left over food is left behind. It creates a stench that travels into the shop keeping the people away. Of course that also attracts critters, and because of that alley way it's an easy access and escape for any wondering animal. I believe that is where we will find our Wolpertinger." Jin said finally walking to it's location, but also listening out if Aeila had any objections.
Once the meat shop was in sight, Jin pointed up to the nearest rooftop signaling that he was going to take a higher ground for a better vantage point. But before he did so he would speak of the plan in place to catch the creature. "Just in case we see the Wolpertinger, we should have a plan in place to catch it. I'm going to get a higher look to try and spot the little guy, once I give you a thumbs up signal. I need you to summon your wolves and have them approach on both sides of the alley way. This will force the animal to take flight in a certain path, and I will handle the rest from there. Remember no harm, no kill." Jin said to her in a low tone again. He would wait for her nod or approval that she understood the plan before moving up with a series of flips and jumps.
Getting into his position he crouched low to see if he can spot anything, and luckily enough all his theory crafting was correct. He could spot the little bugger eating some left over pieces of meat right in the middle of the alleyway. Right after that he stood up and gave Aeila the thumbs up she needed to activate her spells and scare the creature into the air like he had planned.
The white haired rogue turned and saw each of the men had also finished their fights with the creatures. The two were capable at handling themselves in a fight thus far, but the threats of the mana beasts wasn't that high. There was probably going to be more threatening creatures ahead and thats when they will see what each one is capable of. Jin went and hopped on top of his golem once more to prepare for leaving the cave, but not after he noticed the one named Vile doing something very odd.
He had come over getting the attention of everyone shouting that was going to grab someone's balls. In which seeing this Jin had actually started to laugh, it was odd and definitely weird to see. But it was funny even if it was meant as a joke or not it got a nice laugh out of the rogue. "You're an odd one." Jin said to him resting his spear on his shoulder while standing on top of his golem. "But that was a good laugh."

Moving on ahead Jin took flight with his golem placing his head on the golems head he poured more mana into the spell wanting to keep it active just in case he needed it for anything ahead. But the entire tower started to shake suddenly as he flew on, alerting him that something about this place entirely strange. Of course it was far from normal, but it just kept getting weirder and weirder much like the man Vile. Maybe this place was like his home, but Jin remembered the entrance was covered in vines and greenery so this probably was his first time coming here. "So where you guys from?" The rogue asked the two in attempt to make some conversation, while also digging for any information. But he was suddenly caught in a release of hot steam.
The rogue shaking his face free from the hot steamed that poured on him. Was getting some visual of what was ahead, no longer wanting any sudden surprises. Seeing a large heated lake ahead thinking that explained the natural heat in this place. It also didn't help with the large and towering greenery and mushrooms that was all around them. Already the rogue felt sticky and icky being in this place, now his goal was to get out of here as soon as possible. So the moving along didn't stop until fast and weird looking beast tried to pounce on him and his golem, but with quick thinking Jin had his golem Zeno slice it with it's sharp wing made of void energy, literally slicing the creature in half killing it. "Mmm. More beasts. These ones look a little more normal than the other one's though. Good Luck." Jin said out loud.
Using his golem he took advantage of the open space this time around, and had his golem flew out of reach from the beasts. It was easy to see these monsters were tougher than the green eye snails in the cave. So Jin had to use his real magic, an he planned to make it quick. Holding his open palm out towards three of the mana beasts looking up at him. He said one word. "Raim." and three dark blue void rifts were created right next to the beasts and with a swipe of his hand the rifts went through the creatures and erased the middle space, slicing them in half. The is entire sequence was done in a near instant so it was hard to see unless one was only paying attention to Jin.
Making that a total of four beasts he had taken down, considering the numbers he could finish off another one. Spinning his dagger Karasu in his left hand using his eyes to select the next target. And it would be an easy one, as it was running toward him hoping to snatch him off the air borne golem. Jin waited for the beast to hop in the air, and with a quick and deadly precise throw the dagger pierced the throat of the beast killing it as well. Now making the total count a five, leaving the rest for the others to take care of.

Notes and Spells
"Speech #1e3875"
Entered Floor 2 Room 2. Using his spell Raim to take out three Falkhasaur, his golem to slice one and his dagger Karasu to finish off the last of his five.
Name of Spell: Raim Elemental Type: Void Rank & Spell Type: Intermediate | Attack Creation Range & Speed: 20 m/s | 40 M Mana Cost: 20 | 10 Stats Effected: + 6 Power | Applicable Perks:
BATTLE KNIGHT: Those with this perk may use offensive spells to further buff themselves. See Attack Creation Spec Guide for more information
Description: Further expanding what he can do with rifts, Raim is a spell that is very much similar to Oriax and Seere before it. 'Split the convergence, creating divergence' Creating a rift anywhere in his visual sight with a maximum distance of forty meters. Swiping his arm with an open palm, or pushing an open palm forward he creates a rift. Raim is literally cutting a space between those two points, creating a split. It cannot be used on a living being or inside them, but when used on physical matter not backed by magic Jin is literally able to split walls, doors, floors, objects and items in half. Using his control Jin is able to move the rifts around freely to also strike a target causing intermediate cutting damage. Jin can create a 'split' right in front of him and fire it off at an intended target. The rift is 6 meters tall and dark blue in color, and it resembles a long line crack one would find in a wall. Raim can appear in an instant like manner due to the nature of this magic, the rift does take the time to form at a position based on the distance of the caster and the speed of a spell of the same rank. Following ammo rules, Jin can create more rifts in accordance to his control.
As always wanted Aeila seemed to know and not know always left him more confused than before. A slight shock look on his face appeared and then turned into a smile as she spoke in a complete perfect sentence. Something he believes was the first time he heard her do so, but in order to not make a scene his face changed back to normal as quickly as it appeared shocked. After she wrapped her arm in his he would begin to walk into the place.
"Heh. I know you are not stupid. It is a little difficult keeping up with what words you do know and what words you do not." Jin replied to her comment about not being stupid. He never believed she was, but it was something to note that this was the first time she corrected it. Usually when her wraith Frederick called her such she would just accept it, he began to wonder if that changed recently. "It's a pleasure hearing yourself say it though." He added walking through the room, while quickly analyzing the entire place. It was easy for him to multitask these kind of things, continue to have multiple conversations while also taking in every detail about the environment.
"Fredrick always pays." Jin joked to her. Her relationships with her wraiths were always interesting and entertaining, just because they weren't mindless tools but rather a growing family she kept alongside her. But it was important to keep in mind, the more she got the more powerful she would become. Jin understood how her magic worked now, but he didn't yet see the full capacity of her magic. He thought about this quite a few times in the past few weeks, what would happened if she turned an extremely powerful being into one of her wraiths. Would they still keep all their magic, knowledge and experience? Only time will tell. For now they both still had quite some ways to go before they reached their full potential. And what could lie ahead beyond that for both of them.
Among the people Jin took into his sights there was an odd fellow, rather tall with very dirty and unkempt white hair. He was wearing the proper attire for the event somewhat though it was also unkempt and not fitted properly. Jin didn't really judge the man at all, the event to the ball was free for everyone to enter including himself. He probably mostly had his eye on the food and drink, as far as Jin was concerned he could help himself to it. Having all eyes on the vagabond would just lessen the eyes on him and Aeila. Not that there was a reason for any eyes to be on them, but some distractions were always appreciated. As the vagabond continued his antics only seemed to increase after he sniffed himself, a small chuckle left Jin's lips watching the act. "That guy has the right idea. But make sure you don't try any of the food over there Aeila, it's basically ruined now." Jin said to her gesturing the area with his chin.
"Mmm." A soft hum left his mouth as his sensory and instinct was correct, there was someone approaching him. While this fact didn't annoy him particularly, it wasn't the greatest of news either. He much rather take this job on alone, so he can be his free self. But that was the problem with public civilian jobs, nine times out of ten you were going to be working with someone. So his character of Jun the simple sell sword had to continue a little longer. The rogue kept his same position though getting a outline of the enemies camp.
The particular someone flew in on a broom, dressed in a Crimson Lion mantle and magic knight outfitting. He landed just a few meters away and immediately asked a question if he was the night he was supposed to be waiting for. Which let Jin know that there would be another joining them shortly, welp if he was going to be working with two knights he might as well just get used to it. Jin stood up and swung his wrapped up spear over his shoulder and rested it their, turning to face the the young Crimson Lion with a smile on his face. "No can't say I'm any kind of knight. Just a sell sword that's been tasked with rescuing some captured villagers." he replied to the magic knight. Now getting a good look at him, he was a bit shorter and had some focused amber colored eyes with brown hair to match. "As for what I think, there have been reports of strange fish like or serpent like figures taking some poor folk around town. That's my guess, but you never know. The use of music makes it even weirder." Jin said looking back over the location.
The magic knight was eager to move on though as he started to state they best move quickly and take care of the enemy. Jin couldn't disagree with that logic but there was a sharp stop to the Crimson Lions sentence that was followed up with him crossing his arms. Perhaps the fact that Jin was not the knight he was looking for spooked him, and caused him to think on it a little more.
But before Jin could speak, the other knight appeared and it was none other than Verena Reinsberg. Verena was another up and coming mage, who was recently selected as one of the new Royal Knights for the kingdom. Her rise to fame was recent, but Jin would be a fool to not know who she was. When it came to famous mages and knights, Jin made it one of his priorities to know who they were. In his line of business that information and knowledge is what kept you alive. He'd been running into quite a few notable and powerful mages lately. Because of this he knew the Crimson Lion was relatively new, did this not mean he was inexperienced. But for magic knights fame followed them around like a moth to a flame. The fact that the young lion didn't have any, could only mean he was rather new to all of this. But that was Jin's guess, and he learned to never bet anything on a simple guess.
"I am!" Jin answered her simple question with a bright smile on his face. He had the face of a young man that was eager to get to work. "And you must be the knight he's looking for." Jin continued gesturing to the magic knight. "Verena Reinsberg! The Elemental Heiress! It is an honor to meet you." Jin took a slight bow to pay his respects the women, and then turned to the other knight and nodded the same. "It will be an honor to work with you as well. Ive heard the Crimson Lions are as efficient as they are fiery!" the rogue added. And he meant every word he said, when it came to magic knights, or the royal knights even members of the church, Jin held no disdain towards them. Of course he had opinions like anyone else, but he didn't base his entire judgement on the whole because of the actions of a few. He saw the system of the magic knights flawed, but that didn't mean it's individual members were the same.
Truth be told Jin was taught to kill no matter what mantle they have on or where they come from. Knights have fell from his hand, so have church members, and civilians and other rogues. At the end of the day they were all but one thing and one thing only, a target. A means to an end. Nothing personal about it. But he did respect powerful mages when he came across one, and today Verena Reinsberg was one of them.
But she did end up asking about one of Jin's biggest annoyances. The type of magic he used. The white haired rogue did not like to be public with his use of magic and liked to avoid it if possible. His element of void was extremely rare and just as dangerous, the only time he let others see him use it was when they were dying a few moments later. Or when he had their complete trust which was only a very small handful of people. Most people thought extremely rare elements and four leaf clovers were a blessing from the gods. Jin's mother taught him otherwise his element could make him a big target. He was probably the only one in the world with the ability to manipulate void energy and command the void itself. To potentially erase things from existence all together, though he wasn't capable of this yet he would be in time. But his element would get him noticed and remembered and that lead to capture or death, two things he did not want and could not afford. So now he had to take a risk.
"My element is nothing worthy of note, I can't really use it well. My magic control is rather poor. Thats why i'm reliant on this spear." Jin said holding the wrapped spear out with his right hand. "It uses the element of light, and it was a gift. With it I can use quite a few attacking spells and some healing as well. I will not be a burden to either of you. That I can assure you." Jin said hoping and believing his answer would suffice. Situations like this were always tricky, and he already knew him being nervous would make it worse. So when he spoke there wasn't a hint of nervousness in his voice, just confidence
"Yes, some practice we spoke about this remember?" Jin attempted to remind her of the conversation they had, about surviving together. And how that led into the explanation of teamwork, partnership and some much needed practice. Jin had little worries that Aeila could take care of her own, defend herself when need be. Say the smart things and make the smart moves, she's proved herself very capable in this regard. So much so, it would make his own mother proud. Another thing his mother would have loved, was her near blind obedience she tended to have. It was often she would just agree to what he would say and take it as a form of command. Oh his mother would have loved that indeed. Hence why those chains needed to be broken.
"The conversation we had about working as a team. This night is as good as any to get started." Jin continued rubbing his chin and looking up into the night sky while following Aeila. She hadn't gotten the information she needed yet, so that was the first stop. "Understood Leader A, continue to lead the way." he continued in his jokingly manner. The girl needed allot of things, if her chains were going to at least begin to crack. But one of those things, and arguably the most important of them all. Was confidence. Now confidence in Aeila's situation was a weird point to try and approach. From what he could tell Aeila was actually particularly confident when on a task, she showed little hints of discomfort or uneasiness when it came to taking a life. This is what training at such a young age could do to a person. Aeila didn't need to be confident in her skills she already had that, what she needed to be confident in was her decisions and her own opinions. But baby steps needed to be taken.
She walked to the location with little errors and at a quick pace, not only has she been around here before. She's been around here quite a lot, which made Jin remember the first time he met her. With the golden boy, they both were like fish out of water. But it seemed Aeila was playing them as fools. A little laugh escaped his mouth as he thought of it, he too liked to lead people astray from time to time. Jin had known and worked with the Agents of Avarice before, he knew their rules and how strict they were about them. But when he took jobs for them in the past, he never went as Jin with the stark white silvery hair and piercing blue eyes. He had disguised himself in the past, and not through means of magic.
So this would be the actual first time he as himself is meeting with an agent. Aeila was taking a risk in bringing him along, but there was no reason to worry. Jin doesn't fail in any of his tasks, he'd been groomed to complete any mission and detail with the utmost efficiency. As they exchanged words Jin just simply stood aside and watched gently taking the piece of paper handed to him. Walking out behind her taking a quick glance at the paper, stopping himself from chuckling. He waited till they walked to safe area to speak about it.
"They want us to catch a small animal." Jin told Aeila quietly with a slight laugh in his voice. He hadn't been asked to do something like this since he was young, this mission definitely wasn't the most exciting one for the two to be working together on but it is what it is. Jin folded the paper and slid it into the inside of his jacket pocket then continuing to whisper. "A Wolpertinger. It has thebody and the head of a hare, a pair of deer-like antlers, the wings of a goose and elongated canines reminiscent of those of a sabertooth tiger. Usually hiding within small spaces and pockets of the fringe. Apparently they are fast, small and can fly. Also they have a nasty bite. Lastly we can't kill it or harm it. Seems like some kind of test." Jin said to her, awaiting her response, to see what she thought on the matter.

It was clear there was now a bit of confusion between the two, which had come right after the pair just took a few steps forward. They exchanged their actual names for the first time, and even agreed to stay, work and survive together. All this happened just a few minutes ago, but now things were back to being awkward and unclear. Jin's need for humor in situations where it wasn't needed didn't help much, but this was his way sometimes. The white haired rogue was capable of being precise, detailed, organized and as analytical as the best of them when need be. This was do to his training, his upbringing. But no matter what harsh punishments his mother put him through, one thing always remained. His sense of humor. His willingness to crack pretty bad one liner jokes.
It usually ended up with someone being annoyed with him, and now this time that person was Aeila. His attempt a joke referring to the difference in height between the two ended up backfiring on him tenfold. She was upset with his choice of words, and even after he apologized and tried to get to the root of it, she ignored him. Which he was used to, whenever his other siblings had enough of his antics they usually just ignored him as well.
"Aahh the silent treatment. It's ok I'm used to it. No biggie." Jin said looking around the place getting used to what was inside. It was a large space with room for some training, and some benches inside. He decided to sit on one, then looked at Aeila. He knew he had to use his words carefully when speaking to her, which was annoying but he could get used to it. "You can sit on a bench if you would like to do so." he said to her "I don't think we have to jump into training our first day here. Unless you want to." Jin told her resting his chin on his hand.
"For now we can do a different type of training. A practice of words and their meanings. Earlier you said you don't know what the words teamwork and partnership means? Then you apologized saying you'll just accept it. Well if we are going to survive together. These words are important and you must know them, but you also shouldn't just accept anything that you're being told." Jin paused holding up one finger in front of him, activating his magic creating a small void rift in the shape of a circle that was dark blue in color. He held in front of him, simple looking at it. Something he liked to do when no one was around, he trusted Aeila so there was no need to hide his magic. He would explain it to her if she showed interest, if not he would just continue with what he was saying.
"You don't have to accept everything you're being told. Even from me. It's ok to question things, it's ok to be upset and disagree with things. I think that's going to take time. But anyways i'm pretty sure you can figure out what teamwork means. Separate the words. Team and work, teamwork. I know you know what work means. So we'll jump straight into team. Team would be you and me completing that work together. For example let's say the next job you are given tasks you with taking an object back let's say a gold necklace that some people stole and dealing with them permanently. You and me using teamwork. Would be you taking back the gold necklace and me taking care of the people that stole it. Does that make sense?" Jin had asked her hoping he didn't loose her in his explanation.
