It was quite strange, seeing how quickly the world had already changed again. Where it hadn’t been all that long since the leaves started falling from the trees and rain was the most prominent type of weather, a blanket of snow had already begun forming over the land. To Gawain, it felt like it had only been a few weeks since they celebrated the spirit festival, the festivities there having been rather electrifying. Since then, it had been business as usual. Delving into dungeons, taking on missions so he could climb up among the ranks, keep earning his paycheck and most importantly: Get stronger as a mage. The world had never paused for anyone, and the boy was quite well aware of the fact that if he spent a large amount of time doing nothing, the world was going to find a way to pass him by. And that much was unacceptable.

However, when the entire country could find the time to take some off for the sake of festivities and merry making, that was the exception. Not really knowing whether there was a dress code to this whole Yule thing or not, he just made sure to dress warm. Black slacks stuffed into black boots, a thick grey coat with a black scarf around his neck and black gloves to keep his fingers warm and functional, even wearing a dark grey beanie to cover up most of his unkempt white hair. It was a simple look that made him look just like the average civilian, which was more or less the goal, as he didn’t feel the need to stand out during a celebratory party. That, and he had absolutely no idea what the deal was. The Spirit festival had been the first time he had ventured out and joined such a large scale celebration, so there was some restraint here.

That said, that festival had everything quite close by, which seemed to not be the case this time around. For as he wandered around the place where the other citizens had been gathering, there seemed to be some festivities here in the form of just people being rowdy and talking among one another. But he didn’t see any kind of fun games or a banquet or anything along those lines. As a silver eagle, he was aware of what his squad had been tasked with, the royal feast and the gala, which was more or less why he was a bit amazed at how things had been set up. He was also aware of what the black bulls had been up to, another feast paired with a hunt, which was honestly more up his alley. The annoying part was that the royal gala was held right around the corner, while the hunt was all the way north in the forsaken region.

In truth, he had expected everything to be held closer together or for there to at least be some goddamned portals that would allow people to venture from place to place. For now though, Gawain would need to suck it up and figure out exactly what he wished to do first. He did own a broom after all, so he wouldn’t need to walk…

Sumire hummed gently walking along side with her servants in the grand courtyard of the Royal palace listening to the events and blessings of the yule festival. She always found the festivals in clover interesting with the way they are done and how each squad participates into the festival to bring forth spirit and trust of the citizens to the squads that protect them.

She remember the year past and each day was amazing and full of life. Sure such families as the vermillion had fallen but their crimes were not their own, but of another with the same blood. She heard the head of house had changed and instead of the heir she had once known, it was now an heiress . She hoped the house would rise again but such things will be a hard road and she could only hope the vermillion was strong enough to continue the struggle with such eyes on them.

"Lady Sumire, come we got so many things to do and If I remember right some presents have arrived for you." Said Shi holding a few boxes.

"Presents for me?" asked sumire looking over her shoulder

"yes some i am sure you will be delighted with for tonight." Shi Commented

"Well then lets get going yeah." Said Sumire with a smile walking with her swordwoman.

A Pink haired noble looking girl stood in the crowd listening to the speech, looking awe struck but in truth very very bored. She adjusted the pink parasol in her hands over her left shoulder as she looked over to some of her "friends" from her lower social circle. This life wasn't the one she wanted to live but it was the one she was stuck in and adjusted to just fine. Her family has allowed it and her contracts are done within the timely manners required.

"Isn't this exciting Saya! We can see the higher, cuter nobles and a lot of magic knights." giggled on of the girls around her.
"Huh? oh uh yeah." She said lost in thought finally coming back to reality
"Something wrong are you feeling alright?" asked the girl
"Yeah I feel fine, come we got planning to do." stated Saeka looking back towards the stage before leaving with the small circle heading out to enjoy the festivities. She knew family was around somewhere, if she was out and prowling they were as well.

Amaya relaxed in her carriage next to Jianyu listening to the ceremony. She should be out in the public but the girl didn't want to. she was content and warm in her carriage listening to the festivities. In truth, she didn't really want to be around the yule festival. This was a time of year where she was shipped off to hino's after breaking up with her first crush then to remember the office. Now the crimes of the vermillion named silas came out. She wasn't sure how to feel of her former crush and this information. She was lucky to get out of the relationship when she did even if it was hurtful and something she never thought she would need to ever deal with.

She sighed looking out the window not seeing very many familar red heads. "I hope the changing of head for them will be benefical and help them grow." She said to herself gently as she looked towards jianyu

"I am sure they are fine, the ember hasn't gone out for them yet." Said Jianyu tapping on the wall twice behind him as the carriage moved on. they had places to go and people to see and a date with her wardrobe.

The Christmas season always ran the heir of the Yinsil family ragged, as always his social calendar was filled with not only the usual lunches and tea parties but also the festive balls, galas, meals and shopping. On top of that, he also had to deal with the increase of requests his family got bombarded with due to people wanting gifts for loved ones. His time was already stretched thin as it was during the year, now he could barely find the time to sleep. Many people went to his family for textiles and to him specifically for jewellery. As much as his father hated him doing so he only accepted very specific requests during this time of year but he would take all consultations and would accept those who would wait outside those specific requests. He knew that a grand gala was being planned by two of the squads.

It was hard not to know such a thing given one of his circle was inside one of the squads and so it was the only thing that the circle was talking about for weeks on end at this point. He always created a gift every social season for those within his circle, it was a tradition at this point. This year he knew the girls were dressing in sparkly poofy dresses that would almost glisten like gemstones so he decided to make them a set of gemstone shoes that would fit beautifully with their dresses with small flares like wings at the side of the heel or what looked like vines that were climbing up the leg. Questions were asked when he measured each girl's feet and legs up to the knee. He just said he was going to order them a set of shoes they'd never forget tailored to fit their feet alone.

He didn't want to ruin the surprise. Sure, they were disappointed as he usually made something specific for each of them but they knew it was a very busy season for him, they also trusted him to deliver on the promise. He worked tirelessly on nothing but these shoes, even sending apologies when he missed meet-ups saying that he had an order that had a very strict timeline. He wasn't lying to them as the shoes needed to be ready in time for the gala and seven very specific pairs made from gemstone were a tall order because if there was even a single flaw he would need to restart that pair all over again. It was stressful, to say the least, but he had managed it, of course, whenever he did see his circle they would ask about the shoes and as time got closer they started to get anxious as they still hadn't arrived.

He just smiled and told them to trust him they would arrive the morning of the gala. He did this so they couldn't talk to one another about this season's gift from him. For his dearest Sumire, he sent a beautiful jewellery set that included a carved bracelet, earrings, pendant and necklace all made of blue jade, he decided to make himself a matching bracelet and pendant with a beautiful hanfu that he had requested the Yuiee seamstresses create. It had cost him a small fortune but to him, Sumire was worth it and he wanted to see her smile more than anything else. with everything sent out the day of the festivities he got himself ready and into a carriage to head towards the royal palace. It hadn't taken that long to get to his destination luckily.

Once he arrived he listened to the crowned prince's speech within his carriage so that he could remain warm, but as people started to disperse to go where they wanted he exited his carriage and headed inside the royal palace to meet up with his circle and hopefully see Sumire.

Ozma was present with the rest of the people gathering in the crowd for the declaration of the Prince for the start of the Yule Festival, he was garbed in warmer clothes but still traditional as he had his crimson lions mantle around his shoulders.he normally was busy doing rounds with the rest of the crimson lions but right now with his sister about to go into a intense battle with daemons once more the yuiee heir needed something to help him de stress and relax and thankfully the winter fun and games seemed like a perfect time to do such a thing,as he stretched a bit he smiled at his companion Iris as she would sit on his shoulder while they turned to head towards where the snowball fight would be happening “hopefully we can triumph over the purple orcas though after last years one sided victory over the black bulls this should be rather easy dont you think?” Iris questioned before Ozma mearly smirked and nodded as he walked towards his squad to grab a broom so he could head out to where the snowball fight would be taking place with any luck they would have another clear win this year but who was to say.
